Junior Full Stack Web Developer

Markdale Financial Management is looking for a part-time Junior Full Stack Web Developer to join our team. As a Junior Full Stack Web Developer, you’ll gain valuable experience writing code that powers our web based financial reporting system. This position is most suitable for a current undergrad in Computer Science at an Ontario University looking to jumpstart their career as a software developer.

Your Qualifications

  • currently an undergrad in Computer Science
  • demonstrate ability working with REST APIs and JSON
  • comfortable with a HTML/CSS/JavaScript stack
  • able to use a MySQL database
  • must be interested in finance/blockchains/trading-bots

This is a part-time job (10 to 20 hours per week) most suitable for an undergrad currently enrolled at an Ontario university computer science program. The applicant must demonstrate their ability to work with a full web development stack led by React.js including JavaScript and MySQL, by completing a short coding challenge task.

Candidates must have an interest in finance as the successful applicant will be working with the associated web based financial reporting systems (web based dashboards) that support our investments. The successful applicant will be using code running on Ubuntu Linux servers and working from the command line. We use Github for code repos & project management. Our code is open source.
